Fårene Fra Præstbjerg
(The sheep from Præstbjerg)
With focus on craftsmanship and materials derived directly from the landscape. The art pieces were to tell stories about where to gather materials and how skilled craftspeople can transform a material by going into dialogue with its properties.
Working with shepherds and the local sheep wool which were handspun (plant dyed) by artist into yarns and made into rope with ropemaker.
Numbers from the sheep ears are engraved in the back to give a nod to the animals who grew the wool in a year's cyclus in the heather landscape at Præstbjerg in western Jutland.
