From Near Not Far :
A Case Study on Regional Textile Production
A project which explores the value of craftsmanship and locality through cultivating wearables from local natural fibres such as raw Danish wool, Nordic wool yarn and European linen. The ten-piece collection takes inspiration from looking back at intangible Danish heritage, folkwear and craft techniques such as handspinning, handweaving, dyeing and felting with local wool and plants to develop a design narrative that aligns with a modern, sustainable, regional fibre system. The artistic prototypes were entirely hand-crafted in a timespan of five months.
