Tidsel feber : Group exhibition

Thistle Fever. With the works Fabrication and Control

“The "Corridor of Thistles" is a plant art project that lets you explore a green pathway to the sea surrounded by beautiful thistles, buzzing insects and wildflowers. The pathway opens to reveal panoramic views with Røsnes in the horizon to the east.
When the first plan for highway corridors crossing Samsø was published, the impact on our landscape, nature and culture became both very visual and terrifyingly concrete! (...)
The thistle has been the symbol of resistance and defense before. The Scotts were said to be warned from approaching enemies when unaware barefoot Vikings stepped on Scotland's now national flower, the thistle. Thistles are controversial. Farmers struggle to keep them out of their fields and they are not easy to love even as we are rewilding our gardens.”
